For your convenience, I've compiled a list of questions and answers you may have regarding a photography session.
For more information about my method of working with each family for a truly individualized session, contact me, I'd love to work with you!
Q. How long does a session last?
A. Session coverage depends on the type of session you want. I offer hourly family documentary sessions, day in the life sessions which are 12 hours, and life event sessions which can last 2 hours or more.
Q. Where will we have the session?
A. Most session types will occur at your home. Life event sessions will take place at the scheduled location of the event.
Q. What type of photography do you do?
A. I'm a family documentary photographer. I photograph families as families, including covering births, at home newborn sessions, birthdays, reunions and other events.
Q. How far in advance should we book the session?
A. To be sure you get the date that you want, contact me at least 4 weeks ahead of time for a regular session.
Q. What about maternity and newborn sessions, when should we schedule them?
A. Maternity sessions should be scheduled anytime between 28-32 weeks. Newborn sessions should take place within the first 10 days after the baby is born. I recommend getting in touch to book a newborn session at least 6 weeks before your due date.
Q. How should we dress for the session and can we style it?
A. You should dress as you would on any given day. We are capturing true moments of your family so there is no need to wear matching outfits or coordinate colors.
Q. Will there be any posing and cheesy smiles?
A. No. I am not going to ask you to smile and look at the camera. I will interact with you and your children throughout the session, but mostly I just watch for the interesting moments and interactions to capture.
Q. How long before we see the proofs?
A. It depends on the type of coverage you have booked with me. But it will be anywhere between 2-4 weeks before the images are ready to show you.
Q. How many images will we have in the proof gallery?
A. Again, it depends on your coverage. Hourly sessions will be about 35-45 images and the other types are dependant on what I am covering.
Q. Will we be able to see the images online?
A. Yes! After your in-person ordering session, I will set up a private gallery for you on the Simply Human Pictures website. You can share this with friends and family for one week.
Q. What are your package and print prices?
A. For pricing and further policies of Simply Human Pictures, please contact me. You may reach me at 757.812.5322 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for stopping by and I hope to talk with you soon!
